Just out (August 2009)! Our new guide to low-carbon living “Living Well, Living Green in Skagit and Whatcom Counties: Wise Choices for a Warming World.” It’s all here, in a condensed, user-friendly format geared to our local area. The book begins with a brief intro to climate change and moves on to such subjects as home energy efficiency, building green, tranportation, renewables, yards, food – with plenty of carbon-saving tips, local resources, and testimonials from locals. The book was produced with a grant from the NW Clean Air Agency, and is FREE to the public. You can pick up a copy at Pelican Bay Books in Anacortes, check one out from any of Skagit’s libraries, or e-mail Carolyn Gastellum at ecgastel@wavecable.com and we’ll get a copy to you. (Put “climate book” in the subject line)
