The public awareness committee seeks to inform and inspire the Skagit County
community with the facts, implications, moral imperatives, and solutions
surrounding global warming, climate change, and the transition from the
fossil fuel era. We recognize that to meet these challenges we must act at the local level —
and that to make effective changes locally, people need solid information
and a network of supportive connections.

To meet those needs, the public awareness committee offers events,
presentations, courses, and resources that raise awareness and expand
knowledge. We encourage and help homeowners, business owners, and local
government to enact practical, independent solutions available today for our
immediate benefit and for the benefit of generations to come. By fostering a
climate of knowledge, cooperation, and creativity, we can build confidence,
turn crisis into opportunity, and ensure a strong, vibrant, and sustainable
community.

We encourage our friends, neighbors, and all the citizens of Skagit County
to join us — learn more, take action, get involved!
